By downloading, installing, or using the Ryze app or visiting ryzeapp.co.za, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Ryze. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

1. About Ryze

Ryze is a civic action platform developed and operated by Quikle AI (Pty) Ltd ("Quikle AI", "we", "us"). Ryze enables South African citizens to discover, join, and start organised accountability campaigns targeting corporations, government entities, and public officials.

Ryze is part of the Quikle AI product portfolio, which also includes Lexio, an AI-powered legal assistant for South Africans.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Ryze. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older. Users under 18 are not permitted to use the platform.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must provide accurate information during registration. You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their consent. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Content and campaigns — what is permitted

Ryze is a platform for lawful civic action. You may use Ryze to:

5. Content and campaigns — what is prohibited

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension and removal of content without notice.

You may not use Ryze to:

6. Platform neutrality

Ryze is a politically neutral platform. We do not endorse any political party, candidate, or ideology. Campaign targets may include any political party, government entity, or elected official regardless of political affiliation. Our Shield AI system monitors for coordinated inauthentic campaigns and platform neutrality violations.

7. Shield AI moderation

Ryze uses an AI-powered moderation system ("Shield") to review campaigns and community content before publication. Shield assesses factual basis, legal risk, and compliance with these Terms. Campaigns assessed as HIGH legal risk will not be published without additional documentary evidence. You may appeal a moderation decision by contacting support@ryzeapp.co.za.

Shield AI moderation does not constitute legal advice. If you are uncertain about the legal implications of a campaign, you should seek independent legal advice. Ryze's companion product Lexio provides AI-powered legal information for South Africans.

8. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of content you create on Ryze (campaign descriptions, posts, uploaded evidence). By posting content, you grant Quikle AI a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and use that content for the purpose of operating the Ryze platform, including generating anonymised aggregate data.

The Ryze name, logo, and platform are owned by Quikle AI (Pty) Ltd. You may not use the Ryze brand without our written permission.

9. Disclaimers

Ryze provides a platform for citizen coordination — we do not guarantee any particular outcome from any campaign. The platform is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not verify the accuracy of all campaign claims and are not liable for user-generated content.

Nothing on Ryze constitutes legal advice. For legal advice, consult a qualified South African attorney or use Lexio for AI-powered legal information.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Quikle AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Ryze. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which for free users is R0).

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time via Profile → Settings → Delete account. Upon deletion, your personal data is removed within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via push notification or email. Continued use of Ryze after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts. We encourage you to contact us at legal@quikle.co.za before initiating any formal proceedings.
